To
find some direction for ECBR while we are still riding out what is
hopefully the end of the pandemic, a meeting was held on Tuesday May 31st to
discuss plans for the summer season. We decided to make a few changes
at the shop to remain active and safe during these times with the
persistent COVID-19 virus.
- Due to our small space and the number of people that would like access to the shop, we decided that it is best to keep the shop closed to the public for repairs for the time being
- Guests
will be welcome at the shop Thursday nights to drop off donations, and
to look at bikes for adoption if they have arranged to come beforehand.
We will only allow two guests in the shop at a time. Masks will be required for all visitors in the shop.
- We do not currently have any free bikes.
- We will focus on attending community events around Schenectady so that we will still have an opportunity to help folks repair and maintain their bicycles. We are working on a calendar of events now.
- Volunteers are always welcome any Thursday night to help repair donated bikes and maintain the shop. The shop is open from 5 to 7.
